The idea, mission, goal behind H.I. Help is to guide you toward healing.

This is not a site for one more High Histamine foods list.  If you are on the quest for the perfect Histamine free diet list I am sorry you are in the wrong place.
Through my journey of self-healing and as I walked with others I have learned that this NOT like other diets.
For example, if you have celiac disease- eliminate gluten, not easy to do, but the plan is clear and simple.
Histamine Intolerance is neither.  It is not a one-and-done plan.  There is no “here’s a list of foods to solve your problems or symptoms,” sorry-  it does NOT exist.

I see too many people on overly restrictive diets that may be doing more harm than good.

Histamine Intolerant patients tend to get tunnel vision and too much focus is placed on diet alone and that’s NOT helpful. When you eliminate foods you are removing nutrients which in turn can create MORE inflammation and reactivity.
Here the goal is to move towards healing.  Health and well-being are essential factors of a happy and productive life.
I often hear people say they are down to eating 3 foods and they are still reacting.
Then it is time for more extensive testing.
You see histamine intolerance is a syndrome that is not driven by one single piece of a puzzle.
I truly wish that I could say, “avoid these 15 foods and eat more of this and your histamine issues will be resolved,”  but I can’t, and neither can anyone else.

We are going to explore root causes so you can gain information and insight.

I will guide you towards things you can try to see what works for you.  The process will be a learning exercise.  The goal is for you to step back and look at your whole self, NOT just your diet.

It is easier to develop your team, your network of healthcare professions when you have insight and information.

Yes, you are still going to need a health team, the internet, this blog, or any other blog is not a substitute for a strong relationship with real-life healthcare professionals.
